Content Network

Google allows websites to publish its Adverts on their websites. In return for this, if somebody clicks on one of these Adverts, Google pays part of the money to the website’s owner. This is called Adsense, and people advertising on Adwords have the option to opt into it (it’s called the Content Network in Adwords). The traffic tends to be of lower quality (less likely to convert) and the Clickthrough Rate tends to be awful, but the Cost Per Click is usually much lower, so the content network can be very lucrative in some cases.
